The Gold Rush was one of the first bourbon cocktails I genuinely enjoyed. After a rough introduction to whiskey, this drink helped change my perspective entirely. Balanced, approachable and bright, it showed me that bourbon could work beautifully when paired with citrus and honey, and that the problem wasn’t whiskey itself, just how I had been introduced to it.
